Project Art Aid
is celebrating the the permanent installation of the “One-Heart” Mosaic, created in 2011 by Project Art Aid

Against Breast Cancer” Campaign. Presbyterian Cancer Center will host the
unveiling in its new lobby area. The installation features the “One-Heart”
Mosaic of 100 6″x6″ canvases, and a plaque honoring all of the artists that are
featured in the mosaic. This event is free to all, artists and families are
welcome and encouraged to attend so that we may honor you and your contributions to the project.
February 9th. That’s TONIGHT at 5:30!!!
The Presbyterian Cancer Center’s new lobby
entrance and parking area are located off of Caswell Rd., between Randolph Road and 5th Street, adjacent to Presbyterian’s Emergency Department.
I was delighted to contribute a 6” x 6” canvas for the project. While I don’t consider myself an artist (although designing interiors is my canvas)), I gave it a try. It turned into more of a fun craft project but it was accepted and now I’ll forever be positioned beside some of the most talented artist in Charlotte…all for a worthy cause.
See if you can locate my canvas “Free Spirit” based on my progress photos.

Come and support Queen City Jack and Jill at Hats and Hooves. This red carpet Derby event is sponsored by Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte, Allison Loves and Charlotte Seen. There will be mint juleps, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, giveaways and a silent auction. I am donating Interior Design Consultation Services valued at $165.00. If you plan to attend, be sure to bid for One-On-One time with me. It’s a chance to have all those decorating questions answered – professionally! The positive growth and development of our future children are counting on your support.
It’s April 9th and there’s a whole lot of walking, jogging, running and sprinting going on in Charlotte today! Find updates on all activities in the Charlotte Observer. I jumped at the chance to help my client, Kaye Ackermann, when she asked if I would participate in a cause near and dear to her heart that involved some major sprinting.
She and the other members of Stiletto Sprint are committed to raising awareness and funds to enhance the quality of life for all patients engaged in the fight against ovarian cancer. At 9:00am over 300 participates participated in a 100 yard dash, in heels of course! Proceeds from the inaugural Stiletto Sprint benefit the Carolinas Ovarian Cancer Research Fund at Blumenthal Cancer Center.
PCL Interiors was more than happy to contribute by offering a 1.5 Hour Interior Design Consultation to the winner of the silent auction they also hosted.
I personally plan to go to the home of the winner to answer any design challenges they may have. It could be to select a color palette, create a better space plan or freshen up a room and give it a new look simply by using what they have. Any design quandary I can address and resolve in the span of 1.5 hours is my gift. The winner would also take away a lovely potted faux orchid from the event.
…Stelitto Sprint for surpassing your goal and raising over $50,000,!!! closer to $60,000 by the end of the day! What a great accomplishment. Thank you Kaye, for allowing me to contribute.
I am very interested in donating my services to more silent auctions such as this, with benefits going towards a good cause. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you feel that I can bring some value to your organization.
